St. Mark's Hospital is a national and international referral centre for intestinal and colorectal disorders.
As well as clinical services covering all aspects of colorectal disease and intestinal failure, it has many research interests and a very active programme of teaching and education.
This one day course aims to offer a brief introduction and an exploration of the key psychological factors that can influence patient's gut function. It can also provide insight into how patient behaviours have an impact on the healthcare professional.
The course is open to nurses or physiotherapists who may provide biofeedback or a colorectal service for patients with functional bowel disorders.
Maximum 20 participants on first come first serve basis.
