  • St Mark's academic course-The Role of Psychology in G.I. Biofeedback Therapy - Date: 15 March 2012

     

    This one day course aims to offer a brief introduction and an exploration of the key psychological factors that can influence patient's gut function. It can also provide insight into how patient behaviours have an impact on the healthcare professional.

    The course is open to nurses or physiotherapists who may provide biofeedback or a colorectal service for patients with functional bowel disorders.

    Maximum 20 participants on first come first serve basis.

    The Advanced Colorectal Workshop aims to promote the surgical craft of Coloproctol-ogy through demonstration, practicals, live surgery and discussion of techniques.
     
    Emphasises advanced technical aspects in Coloproctology to encourage their safe and uniform adoption, the Workshop has been revised to accommodate the ACPGBI / ISCP Curriculum and is targeted at Trained Surgeons and Senior Trainees.
     
    Candidates presenting for the FRCS “Exit” Examination or EBSQ Examination are likely to benefit from the course content.
