   v The importance of vascular anatomy
   vHow to undertake total mesorectal excision
   v Difficulties encountered in morbid obesity and how to overcome them
   v Making progress with laparoscopic pouch surgery
   v Problems with middle colic vasculature
   v The place of the hand port
   v The theatre team and its influence on results

Learning Objectives: 
To understand the following:

   vcorrect port positioning
   vsafe bowel handling, placement and retraction
   vvascular mobilisation and ligation
   vcolonic dissection
   vspecimen extraction
   vbowel anastomosis

There will be opportunities during the day to address specific problems encountered during this type of surgery and course participants will be able to select DVD's which will suit their further learning.
