Thanks to charitable donations from the Masons and Olympus KeyMed, the endoscopy training facilities at St Mark's has recently had a much-needed upgrade.
The previous small room has been enlarged to accommodate the growing number of observers, course attendees and educational activities provided by the Wolfson Unit for Endoscopy. It will also give a permanent home to the various virtual-reality endoscopy simulators that are available for trainees' use.
The audio-visual equipment are also to be enhanced with upgraded high-definition links to the endoscopy rooms and a multi-image high-definition projector. This will enable delegates to our courses to gain the best training and learning experience that we can offer, and reflect our status as the only OMED World Centre of Excellence in the UK.
